15 Oct: State of the Map in Motor City

The world’s automotive capital, Detroit, served as host to this year’s edition of SOTM.us. This was an appropriate venue given the ever expanding adoption of OSM by industry and keen interest in autonomous vehicle navigation. With three of us in attendance, we were able to cover most of the sessions over the weekend (+Monday). This post includes a few of our takeaways from the conference.

The first ever Locate conference was one of those where I will be happy to claim, “I was there!“ It was one of the most forward looking geospatial conferences that I’ve ever attended and left several big impressions.
