In late 2015 PG&E went live with SAP Work Manager with GIS integration for the Gas Transmission Business Unit. This required SAP/GIS integration at both the data and application tiers. This presentation will discuss the importance of data quality and alignment between the two systems and the required GIS infrastructure to support mobility. Presentations Bullet Points: 1. Importance of GIS and SAP data quality and alignment when integrating SAP with an organizations enterprise GIS. Data integration considerations and strategies will be discussed. 2. Infrastructure requirements of your enterprise GIS to support the integration and deployment to field users. 3. Historically SAP and GIS groups within an organization haven’t worked together and systems haven’t integrated. Change management considerations and recommendation will be discussed. |
