Critigen Named Top Global-50 Outsourcing Provider

DENVER, October 13, 2010 - Critigen, a global technology consultancy, today announced it has been named as a 2010 top global 50 outsourcing provider by the Black Book of Outsourcing, the leading independent benchmark for customer satisfaction with outsourcing. This marks the third consecutive year Critigen (formerly a division of CH2M HILL) has been honored by the research group. The organization is well-regarded for its research on IT consulting and outsourcing, managed IT services, cloud computing, remote infrastructure monitoring and management (RIMM), disaster recovery, 24x7 help desk and application management services.
The Black Book of Outsourcing 2010 survey is the largest survey of its kind, providing detailed feedback on client experience and satisfaction levels of global buyers and users of outsourced services. The survey findings have been compiled from more than 6,500 buyer and user responses, across over 31,000 service experiences, between May-July 2010. Its enterprise survey participants are asked to rank vendors across a set of nine performance criteria. The selected criteria cover the full breadth and scope of service lines which integrate to create a complete vendor service.
“Critigen has an intense focus on client satisfaction, and the result is found in surveying the results — both our own and independent findings from firms such as the Black Book of Outsourcing,” said Kevin Mungle, Critigen senior vice president, managed services.
In its own survey conducted in June of this year by an independent firm, the Customer Care Institute, Critigen also scored high marks. It found that 91.8 percent of its clients would refer Critigen to a business associate, and on a scale of 1 to 5 scored an average of 4.55 on staff knowledge/technical ability and 4.20 on overall satisfaction.
Critigen's managed services help enterprises reduce operating costs, avoid significant capital expenditures and improve service by providing end-to-end management of IT operations and network infrastructure. Critigen applies a technology-neutral approach to its managed services and IT consulting services, leveraging a variety of tools and technology including Microsoft, Unix, Oracle, Sun, HP, Dell, IBM, EMC, Cisco, Citrix, VM ware, WAN acceleration, Voice over IP and several other enterprise platforms.
“Critigen believes our agnostic approach to technology solutions is more cost-effective by reducing multi-vendor management resources, but moreover it helps our clients remain flexible and align their long-term IT strategies with business objectives,” said Mungle. “The complexity and sheer number of mature and emerging technology options can make it difficult for organizations to discern which combination of options is most uniquely suited for them. Additionally, in order for solutions to be truly effective, they must also be viewed with longevity in mind."
